When it comes to Gardiners Confectionery, there is one thing we all know. It is meltingly delicious.
But as with so many things in life, we know that you will no doubt have questions about our fudge, tablet, macaroons and rock; questions about ordering online; and questions about a million other things. So to help out, we have put together a list of our most frequently asked questions that may just give you the answer you were looking for.
Is your Fudge suitable for a vegetarian?
Our entire range is suitable for a vegetarian. So if you are looking for a meltingly delicious treat then you are in luck.
Is your Fudge suitable for vegans?
Sadly not. Our confectionery range uses dairy products within the ingredients so it is not suitable for vegans.
Is your Fudge Gluten Free?
It is suitable for a gluten free diet. HOWEVER…we do not test for the presence of gluten on site at our factory in Lesmahagow so we do not actively promote this claim.
Are there any allergens present in your fudge.
Yes, the most common allergen present in our fudge is dairy. The emulsifier soy is also present in some of our products. For a full breakdown of the ingredients we use, please check out the ingredient lists for each individual product that we have added for full details of all allergens.
Do your alcohol branded fudges contain alcohol?
Yes they do but only for the flavour that the particular brand or spirit possesses. Because of this, they fall under the category of alcohol free or de-alcoholised. So you don’t need to worry about taking a breathalyser to drive after having one or two of our malt whisky flavoured fudge range (for example).
Do your products contain any traces of nuts.
No we do not manufacture any products that contain nuts.
Do you have a factory shop.
Yes we do. We have a lovely wee shop on site at our factory. It is open Mon-Thursday 9am until 4.30pm and Friday 9am until 11.30 am.
Are your products Kosher.
No our products are not kosher.
Do you sell flowers? (this was a real question we were asked)
No we are a confectionery company !! But if you love flowers and delicious things then we have a beautiful range of decorative gifting tins that have floral designs on them.
